16 | BONHAMS Each of tapering ovoid form with a waisted neck, slightly rounded
everted lip in gilt, oval foot ring, molded in high relief to either side with
a ‘Children at Play’ motif set within a slightly recessed reserve against
a blue color ground filled with flowers and leafy scrolls, the base
bearing the four-character mark in seal script.

A famille rose enameled porcelain snuff bottle
Qianlong mark, Republic Period
The elongated, tapering ovoid bottle with a short waisted neck,
everted lip, decorated with two slightly raised ovoid-form panels to
the front and back, each framing a terrace setting, one depicting
two boys squatting behind cricket jars, the other featuring a boy
flying a kite, all against a lemon-yellow ground filled with classic
lotus blossoms amidst leafy scrolls, the recessed base with the four-
character mark in seal script.
