QING DYNASTY, 18TH / 19TH CENTURY
naturalistically carved, the ! sh swimming upstream, trailing a
waterweed from its mouth, a fan-shaped dorsal ! n rising along
the spine, the tail gently curving, all above waterweeds and
cresting waves, carved in high relief, the stone a milky white
color with russet patches enhancing the waterweeds

the immortal ! nely carved with swaying robes, elaborate
coi: ure, and a gentle expression upon the face, the head tilting
to rest on the handle of the large peach-! lled * ower basket
carried in the left arm, the right hand holding a lingzhi in front
of the chest, a long-tailed phoenix standing on one leg with its
crest grazing the basket and tail sweeping upward toward the
lingzhi, the stone of pale celadon color with white and russet
inclusions

the oval pebble intricately carved in the form of a robust carp
entwined with waterweeds, grasping a trailing cluster of weeds
in its mouth, a small bird and ! sh nibbling at its leaves, the
stone a clear white color
