           A LARGE FLAMBE-GLAZED VASE
           QING DYNASTY, 18TH / EARLY
           19TH CENTURY
           of hexagonal section, sturdily potted with the
           facetted baluster body rising from a splayed foot
           to a waisted neck and an everted rim, ! anked by
           a pair of elephant-head handles, covered with
           an vibrant purplish-red glaze accentuated with
           vertical streaks of lavender and violet, thinning
           to a mushroom tone at the rim and edges, the
           base applied with a mottled brown glaze, wood
           stand (2)
