                            each potted with deep rounded sides rising from a slightly
                            tapered foot to a gently & ared rim, painted to the exterior with   ʕ
                            two dragons striding in pursuit of ‘& aming pearls’, divided by
                            phoenix in & ight, reserved on a leafy & oral ground, all below
                            a band of ‘Eight Buddhist Emblems’ and ruyi at the rim, the
                            interior with a dragon medallion, the base with a six-character
                            seal mark in underglaze blue (2)

                            PROVENANCE
                            Collection of Vincenzo Lojacono (1885-1954), acquired in
                            China between 1933 and 1937.
