A CARVED HARDWOOD THREE-DRAWER DESK

The three front drawers are carved in high relief with phoenix, confronting Buddhist lions and fowers
amongst clouds and ribbons, above a shaped apron carved with a key-fret band and intertwining foliate
scrolling tendrils. The side panels are carved with fnger citron, peaches and fowering branches, all
supported on cabriole legs carved with mythical beast masks and leafy tendrils.
