Loss and Liability Unless otherwise
agreed by Sotheby’s, all sold property must
be removed from any of our premises
(including the SLP Warehouse) by the buyer
at their expense no later than 30 calendar
days following its sale. Buyers are reminded
that Sotheby’s liability for loss or damage to
sold property shall cease no later than 30
calendar days after the date of the auction.
Collection & Shipping The SLP
Warehouse requires 24 hours advanced
notice for collection of property. Please
arrange this through our Post Sale
Services team at +1 212 606 7444 or
USPostSaleServices@sothebys.com.
For in-person collections at our offsite
location, please alert Post Sale Services
of your proposed collection date, ensure
that all outstanding invoices have been
paid for, and that you or your agent have
the appropriate photo identification upon
arrival.
If you are using your own shipper to
collect property, please provide a letter of
authorization and instruct your shipper to
email their bill of lading to billsoflading
@sothebys.com and ensure the correct
collection location is specified.
Sotheby’s can arrange for delivery of your
property through one of our contracted
vendors or can coordinate pick up at our
offsite location with you or your shipper di-
rectly. Please contact Post Sale Services at
