A SANCAI-GLAZED POTTERY MODEL OF A HORSE
Tang Dynasty
Equipped in elaborate saddle and caparison, the stalwart equine
standing four-square on a rectangular plinth holding its head slightly to
his left, all surfaces but the base and hooves covered in a rich ocher
liberally splashed in patches of green and cream glazes.
