A GRISAILLE-DECORATED PORCELAIN CYLINDRICAL SNUFF BOTTLE
REPUBLIC PERIOD
The sides are decorated in grisaille with a fsherman in a boat in a
winter landscape and with a poetic inscription that refers to the scene
preceded by an iron-red hall mark, Leshan Tang (‘Hall of Pleasure
from Goodness’) followed by two iron-red seals. An apocryphal
Qianlong four-character mark in blue enamel is on the base.

The transparent red glass bottle is carved on either side with two
confronting chilong enclosing a central shou medallion.
