AN AMBER-OVERLAY CLEAR GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
PROBABLY PALACE WORKSHOPS, BEIJING, 1760-1840
The bottle is carved through the transparent amber overlay to the
bubble-suffused ground on either side with a coiled chi dragon with
its head turned back to bite a curled tendril.

A FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE
IMPERIAL, JINGDEZHEN KILNS, DAOGUANG FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK
IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The bottle is decorated on one side with a panel of three cockerels,
one standing atop a blue rock, and on the reverse with a cicada
310 pendent from hibiscus above begonia, the panels within gilt borders
on a brown scroll-decorated lime-green ground.
