The vase is boldly decorated on the central, bulbous section with 馬錢ṁ
і敦
four quatrefoil panels, each containing a five-clawed dragon amidst
flames, reserved on a ground of stylized floral scroll, which is
repeated on the neck and on the interior of the mouth rim. The tall
foot is decorated with birds amidst fruiting trees. The broad bands of
decoration are separated by various narrow decorative borders.
