A SMALL GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS BUDDHA
18TH CENTURY
The fgure is shown seated in dhyanasana on a lotus base with the hands held in dhyanamudra supporting
a kalasa containing three feathers, and wears beaded jewelry, a dhoti folded at the waist, a shawl wrapped
around the shoulders and arms, and a fve-pointed crown that surrounds the hair dressed in a topknot.
The copper base plate is inscribed with a double vajra.
