A SHOUSHAN FIGURE OF A SEATED LUOHAN
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The well-carved fgure is fnely detailed with incised borders on the gracefully draped robes, stippling to
indicated his moustache and beard, and fne markings to indicate his hair. He sits on a separately made
base carved as a mat incised with foliate scroll placed on top of pierced rockwork.
