          AN ARCHAISTIC PARCEL-GILT GU-FORM VASE
          17TH-18TH CENTURY
          Inspired by Shang dynasty prototypes, the vessel is cast on the neck with upright blades above a band of
          confronted birds, with taotie masks on the center section, and the fared foot with a band of cicadas on a
          diaper ground. The base is cast with an apocryphal Xuande mark.
          10 in. high (25.4 cm.) high, ftted cloth box inscribed by Zoroku (I or II)
