201.  A rare square double-tiered mirror
 Eastern Zhou dynasty, Warring States Period, circa 5  - 3  centuries bc.

 An unusual  square bronze mirror cast  in two  separate   Provenance:
 layers, the superior layer, with a looped knob in its centre     ▪ Roger Keverne, London, U.K.
 has an elaborate openwork décor consisting of four pairs
 of confronting scaly dragons, bordered by and centered   Exhibited:
 on framed bands of intertwining scroll motifs.     ▪ Chinese Bronze Mirrors:  Warring  States Period  to
 Tang Dynasty, Roger Keverne, London October 2009,
 The mirror  has a nice black lacquer patina with  small   catalogue p.8 - 9, no 1.
 areas of malachite incrustation.
