AND RUSSET JADE
NOTCHED DISC, YABI
LONGSHAN CULTURE,
CIRCA 2500-2000 BC
The outer edge of the disc is carved with
three angular notches, each set with a
smaller notch, surrounding the large
central aperture. The stone is of a pale
yellow colour with areas of russet and some
opaque mottling. There is a small area of an
ochre-red alteration.
