                        customers, they managed to reduce the risk of being rejected. As long distance traders,


                        except for commercial network, Canton porcelain dealers also had to set up a huiguan

                        to maintain adequate contact with local manufactures. The fact that Guangzhou and


                        Zhaoqing  shared  one  huiguan  indicated  further  valuable  information  on  the

                        production of enamelled porcelain in the eighteenth century. In essence, this chapter

                        has applied the approach of network to show how porcelain dealers played their roles


                        in the trade.
