Hongzhi six-character mark and of the period
The elegantly potted vessel rising from a medium foot rim to a gently
outswept mouth rim, the exterior incised with five-clawed dragons
striding in mutual pursuit amongst clouds, above stylised lotus leaf
lappets, covered in an egg-yolk coloured iron glaze, the interior with an
almost hidden coiled dragon in the well.
