Painted in red and gold upon a Dish of Old Japan in
the Dresden Collection. The flower to the right is the
SuisEN, a species of hyacinth, and that to the left is the
Kiku, or chrysanthemum. These are the favourite flowers
of the Chajin^ connoisseurs in the ceremony of Chanoyu or
tea drinking.
