SICILY, CIRCA 1780
Each with an inset paneled toprail with central breakfront
cypher table with the initials 'PPL', above a canted
rectangular padded seatback and conforming seat above
a paneled seatrail on rosette-headed square tapering legs
with foliate capitals and feet (2)

Possibly supplied for Don Francesco Ferdinando Gravina,
Prince of Palagonia (1722-1789).
Subsequently purchased by the Earl of Derby, Derby
House, London, circa 1910 from Lenygon.
