A CARVED ROOT AMBER SNUFF BOTTLE
1770-1850
The bottle is of irregular form and is carved through the opaque
yellow-ochre markings to the honey-tone ground with a pair of magpies
perched on blossoming prunus branches bearing delicate buds.

AN OPAQUE LEMON-YELLOW OVERLAY ORANGISH-YELLOW
GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1760-1820
The bottle is carved on one side with a stylized bat rendered with
angular scrolls framing a bouquet of lotus, peach and peony blossoms.
The reverse is carved in similar way with a bat above double gourds
framing a bouquet of camelia and begonia flowers.
