A RED-OVERLAY 'SNOWSTORM' GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1750-1820
Both sides of the bottle are carved with an oval panel, one with a bat
flying toward a fruiting peach tree, the other with a bat flying above a
pagoda emerging from crashing waves.

Terese Tse Bartholomew in Hidden Meanings in Chinese Art, Asian Art
Museum of San Francisco, 2006, p. 221, notes that bats (fu) above
waves with peaches growing from a cliff can be interpreted as "May
you be blessed by the mountain of longevity and sea of blessings
(shoushan fuhai)."
