PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT COLLECTION FORMED BY R. W. SYMONDS (1889-1958)
                                 FOR MR & MRS JACK STEINBERG (LOTS 50, 51 & 58)

Robert Wemyss Symonds (1889-1958) dominated the feld of English            50
furniture collecting in the mid-20th Century. Between 1921 and 1958
his books and articles formed and refected the taste of a generation.      A PAIR OF WHITE JADE BOWLS
He was involved in the formation of almost all of the great private        18TH-19TH CENTURY
collections of English furniture and clocks of the time, including those
of Percival Grifiths, Eric & Ralph Moller, Samuel Messer and Joseph        Each bowl is of deep rounded form with a slightly everted mouth rim and       (2)
