A PAIR OF MOTTLED
JADEITE ‘MAGNOLIA’ VASES
20TH CENTURY
Each vase is carved in the form of a large magnolia
flower, growing from a stem sprouting leaves and
buds. One vase is carved with a cat perched on the
flower, while the other is carved with an insect. The
stones are of a mottled pale lavender, apple-green and
black tone.

GREEN JADEITE
MODELS OF CRANES
QING DYNASTY,
19TH CENTURY
Each bird is carved standing on a gnarled
lingzhi branch, with one leg raised, clasping
a lingzhi sprig in its mouth. The feathers are
incised in fine detail on the bodies and the
crests are inset with coral. The stones are of
a mottled pale green and apple-green tone,
with some areas of brownish inclusions.
