One depicting a tiger and a dragon on a rocky outcrop, their eyes inlaid in
mother of pearl, signed Ikko / Kazutora; another depicting a man seated on a
large shishi, holding a sake bottle over his shoulder, the lion dog reclining on
a rock-shaped base; the third depicting Jurojin and his pet crane on a swirling
cloud, 4.2cm max. (3)

MEIJI PERIOD, 19 CENTURY

The first depicting Hanasaka Jiisan with his dog raking through a pile of gold
coins, signed Shokyusai; the four others carved as chubby-looking puppies,
one resting on a rooftile, another on an awabi shell, the third with a fish
and the last a bitch with her young, some with signatures including Ranichi,
Hakuryu and Shokyusai, 5.2cm max. (5)
