his bowl, raised on a high, cylindrical foot, is undeco-
                                                                  Trated and coated in a blue-tinted glaze. The footrim is
                                                                  free of glaze.

                                                                  Used during Confucian ceremonies for ancestors,  baekja
                                                                  (white porcelain) pedestaled bowls, such as this, held offerings
                                                                  of soup. This vessel is likely a product of the Bunwon kilns.
