19th/20th century
One modelled as a boy atop an elephant,
the pale stone with dark speckled inclusions,
wood stand; a reticulated pendant carved as
three entwined snakes, the semi-translucent
stone of a very even tone with cloudy
inclusions; together with a white jade carving
of Shoulao holding a square bowl, his gnarled
staff with dragon head leaning against his
chest, wood stand.
The carving of Shoulao: 7.8cm (3in) high (5).

Modelled as a tree raft with a deer and
kneeling figure holding a ruyi sceptre, beside a
vase with flowering stems, a cluster of lingzhi
to the far side, a crane in flight above the
overhanging pine branches.
