A MOLDED BLUE AND WHITE DISH
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The dish is decorated in the center with a carp and
a four-clawed dragon, both emerging from roiling
waves, below a band of radiating petals, some
containing flaming pearls, and shaped panels of
alternating carp and flower heads in the well. The
base is inscribed with a basket.

AN UNUSUAL BLUE AND WHITE
MEIPING
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The body is decorated in imitation of Ming-dynasty
‘heaping and piling’ with a broad band of leafy lotus
scroll and grasses. The foot and shoulder are encircled
by further leafy scroll. The base is inscribed with an
apocryphal Xuande mark.
