A DEHUA BALUSTER VASE
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The slender vase is incised with a lotus group on
one side and a peony spray on the other, and the
gently faring neck is carved with a sinuous chilong
gripping a lingzhi fungus spray in its mouth. The
vase is covered overall with a creamy glaze which
continues into the interior.
