                                                                                    famille rose vase of the same shape illustrated in The Complete Collection
                                                                                    of Treasures of the Palace Museum - 39 - Porcelains with Cloisonné Enamel
                                                                                    Decoration and Famille Decoration, Hong Kong, 1999, p. 219, pl. 194. The
                                                                                    decoration on the ovoid body of the Palace vase is that of boys participating
                                                                                    in a Dragon Boat race. See, also, a famille rose vase in the collection of the
                                                                                    National Museum of China, similarly decorated with boys at play, with a
                                                                                    ruby-ground neck, illustrated in Zhongguo guojia bowuguan guancang wenwu
                                                                                    yanjiu congshu - ciqi jian - Qing dai, Shanghai, 2007, p. 207, no. 137.
