A WHITE MARBLE HEAD OF A BODHISATTVA
TANG DYNASTY (AD 618-907)
The face is carved with a small mouth and elongated eyes below arched brows. The hair is pulled up into a
tall topknot and adorned with a delicate, foliate headdress draped with beads and tied with ribbons at the
sides.
