Of baluster form with two moulded handles in
the shape of children clutching tasseled rings
and painted with two large scenes of beauties
and attendants beneath blossoming wisteria
and the Buddha, his disciples and associated
deities, all painted in polychrome enamels and
gilt on a clear crackled glaze, the cobalt body
decorated with floral and geometric designs,
signed Hododa and with Shimazu family crest
