Each with baitong mounts and fittings and
two pairs of hinged legs joined at the mid-
point by a chrysanthemum-shaped pin, the
front legs connected to a footrest with a
cusped apron with a central triple lozenge
decoration, the edges of the hard seat
carved with pairs of striding chilong. 48.5cm
(19in) high x 55cm (21 1/2in) wide x 56cm
(22in) deep (2).

A PAIR OF HETAOMU YOKE-BACK
ARMCHAIRS
Early 19th century
Each with an arched crest rail, a wide
rectangular S-shaped splat with three-
panelled decorations with a ruyi-head on the
top, the serpentine arms pipe jointed above
the rectangular seat, above carved aprons,
the legs joined by stretchers of ascending
height.
90.5cm (35 5/8in) high x 55.5cm (21 7/8in)
wide x 43.5cm deep (17 1/8in) (2).
