THE LIVINGSTON COLLECTION OF JADE.
(LOTS 160-249 INCLUSIVE)
The Livingstons were a professional couple for whom collecting was
a passion. They forged many firm friendships in the world of jade,
and also in a number of other areas of personal interest. Their focus
was intense and they both read and researched extensively about
each collection they developed. Their private jade collection was
gathered from many areas of the world during travels undertaken
several times a year over a period of more than forty years, and
slowly took over most of the space in the house! They would have
been delighted to share their interest and finds with like-minded
colleagues, and would have loved to have been part of this auction
presented by Bonhams.
