The two-line inscription to the neck is extracted from the poem Chun Ri
(Spring Day) by the Southern Song author Zhu Xi (1130-1200), eulogising the
beauty of a sunny and vibrant spring landscape.
The hallmark Zhaode tang zhi appears to be one of the hallmarks used by
Cao Kun (1862-1938), sixth President of the Republic of China between
1923-1924.
題詩:
「勝日尋芳泗水濱
無邊光景一時新」
