the bodhisattva seated in a pose of royal ease, flanked by a kundika and a kalavinka bird, the deity's tall topknot encircled by a
diadem featuring the spiritual father Amitabha, the body adorned in layers of jewelry, sashes, and flowing garments and supported
by a scrolling tripod armrest, wood stand (2)

Related bronze figures of Avalokiteshvara in rajalilasana attributed to the Ming period, also flanked by the kalavinka and the
kundika, have been sold in these rooms before; see one in gilt-bronze sold 20th March 2019, lot 681. Compare as well a similar
figure sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 3rd November 1998, lot 1013.
