A BLUE AND WHITE ‘GARLIC-HEAD’ VASE
WANLI PERIOD (1573-1619)
The body is decorated with eight ferocious mythical beasts amidst
clouds and fames in a landscape, and the neck with dragonfies and
insects fitting above roses growing from garden rocks below a band
of inverted leaves on the garlic-head mouth.
