A PALE-BLUE SGRAFFITO-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE
‘MEDALLION’ BOWL
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN
UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The bowl is fnely decorated with with four diferent medallions
of chrysanthemums and other autumnal fowers separated by
fower sprays, all against a pale blue sgrafito ground. The interior is
decorated in underglaze blue with a central medallion of rose and
chrysanthemum below four chrysanthemum vignettes.
