A BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER AND BRONZE STAND
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The heavily cast, compressed globular body is raised on three feet and set with a pair of loop
handles. The base contains a three-character Song yue lu seal mark that can be translated
as “Companion of pine and moon.” The stand is cast in the form of three overlapping fower
petals, supported on three wide feet. Both censer and stand have an attractive fnely
speckled patina.
