With shallow rounded sides, the exterior is decorated with Collection is illustrated in Imperial Perfection: The Palace Porcelain of
a frieze of composite foliate meander surrounded by small Three Chinese Emperors - Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, Hong Kong,
scrolling leaves, all reserved on a black ground above a narrow 2004, pp. 98-9, no. 33; one in the Victoria and Albert Museum is
illustrated by R. Kerr, Chinese Ceramics, Porcelain of the Qing Dynasty,
band of classic scroll on the foot. The interior is plain.
