A RARE CELADON-GLAZED SQUARE-SECTION
VASE
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The vase is potted with a square mid-section with sides flaring
up to an angled shoulder, surmounted by a trumpeting square
neck below a galleried rim, supported on a spreading square
foot. It is covered overall with an even glaze of pale celadon
tone, with the exception of the biscuit foot revealing the white
body.
