           Edo period 1615-1868), 19th century
           Decorated with the Foxes’ Wedding, one
           side showing the procession at night, the
           other side in the early dawn, lacquered in
           sumi-e togidashi maki-e and iro-e takamaki-e
           on a roiro-nuri ground, the interior nashiji,
           signed Shigeyoshi saku; fitted with a
           staghorn ojime carved as a horse emerging
           from a gourd, and a wood netsuke of a leafy
           eggplant
