          PROVENANCE:
          With Cohen & Cohen, London.
This charming and unusual European taste design is sometimes
attributed to Dutch artist, Cornelis Pronk (1691-1759), due to date,
shapes and the similarity of its motifs, including the distinctive
gilt melon-form ornament on the necks, to Pronk's oeuvre. The
'Parrot on a Perch' decoration was also employed at Meissen.
