          Five swastikas, five bats and the character meaning ‘longevity’. That is,
                      five-fold fortune and happiness, and a long life



        it was interpreted more as an emblem of immortality.
           The swastika can be angled clockwise or counter-clockwise. The former is the ‘seal of
        the heart of Buddha’ and often to be seen on the breast of statues of Buddha.
           In China, the symbol was a very old form of the character fang, meaning the four
