                  OKIMONO OF A CRAB
            Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912)

            The crab naturalistically carved with movable limbs, and large inlaid
            eyes. The surface is finely stippled and incised to emulate the   AUCTION COMPARISON
            natural carapace of the crab.
