            The hexagonal koro standing on six flared feet, made from silver   Provenance: British collection.
            and decorated all around with enamels of various colors resembling

            The globular body is decorated with six inset ivory plaques with
            Shibayama-inlays of coral, mother-of-pearl, tortoiseshell and horn,   Compare with a similar handled
            depicting various birds with flowers. The mid-section is fitted with   vase by the same artist sold by
            six elephant-headed handles with silver loops. The lid is further   Bonhams, Fine Japanese Art, 9
