A RARE COPPER KOZUKA WITH SPIDER

Japan, 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868)

The copper kozuka inlaid with shakudo, silver and gold to depict a
spider in its web. Signed on the side MIBOKU. The celebrated artist
was in his later life a known maker of metalwork netsuke.
