orange hue with embedded quartz flecks and partially covered with vertical streaks, the interior flat black
a mottled ash glaze, irregular scratch marks to the interior, the base Tanino Akio (attributed): an elliptical stoneware vase, the exterior
with artist’s mark and six circular geta okoshi (kiln supports); the decorated with stalks of bamboo outlined in green slip and reserved
second, a large wall vase, the thin rectangular body with an overall on a dark-brown ground, the base with the artist’s mark
plain, rough orange-hued surface scattered with quartz inclusions, Nakai Kazuhito (attributed): an ash-glazed Bizen flower container
