A WUCAI ‘DRAGON AND PHOENIX’ BOWL
KANGXI MARK AND PERIOD
the deep rounded sides rising from a slightly tapered foot to
a gently aring rim, painted to the exterior with two dragons
striding in pursuit of a ‘ aming pearl’, divided by phoenix in
ight, reserved on a leafy oral ground, all below a band of
‘Auspicious Emblems’ and ruyi at the rim, the interior with a
medallion enclosing ve bats, the base with a six-character
mark in underglaze blue
