Of rounded rectangular outline with a concave base, one
side carved in low relief with prunus sprigs in a ‘cracked-
ice’ vase, books and lingzhi, the other side carved with an
archaistic inscription.

A SHADOW AGATE ‘PIGEON’ SNUFF BOTTLE
18th/19th century
Well-hollowed, with rounded square outline, the striated
inclusion on one side lightly carved to suggest a pigeon
with its head turned, perched on a rock.
