AN INCISED JADE MINIATURE SCREEN
19th century
Of vertical rectangular shape and thin section, the stone gilt-incised in
a ‘tianjin’ technique to depict cranes amid pine, lingzhi and bamboo
by a rocky stream, reversed by a four-stanza five character poem and
bearing seals reading zheng and xin; the stone of cloudy seafoam hue;
with fitted wood stand.

A SILVER METAL HAND MIRROR WITH JADE AND COLORED
STONE MOUNTS
The mirror back mounted with jadeite and garnet cabochons
surrounding an off-white jade oval plaque deeply undercut as a crane
and lingzhi fungus beneath a large peach branch, the silver handle
mounted with a grayish-white jade belt hook carved with a dragon
head hook facing an undercut young dragon reversed by an oval
button (minor chips to jades).
